Wherry cottage is available all year round for holidays and short breaks. Mooring is available right outside the cottage, and free fishing is allowed from the shared landscaped gardens, marina and 100 yds of river front. Our cottage managers who will greet you on arrival, and look after your stay.

Wherry cottage is situated right on the bank of the river Bure in the centre of Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, with good views of the main river from all rooms. One of an elite group of cottages set in the Peninsula Cottage Marina, originally operated by Moore and Co and now privately owned, it is only a short walk to the centre of this bustling village with shops, restaurants, carvery, take-aways, pubs, and and the Bure Valley steam railway offering an 18 mile all round steam train excursion to the ancient town of Aylsham. A car is not necessary to fully enjoy this location.  park up for the week in the secure pricate car park or come by bus or coach (just a short walk away).


The cottage comprises two bedrooms (twin and double). The spacious double bedroom has a new solid pine bedroom suite, wicker arm chair and 19" TV / DVD (Freeview).  The twin room has full size beds, dressing table, walk-in wardrobe and 19" TV / DVD (freeview). The newly refurbished bathroom has a white suite with full size bath and electric shower. The newly refurbished kitchen / dining room is fully equipped for self catering and with a supermarket just a 5-minute walk away.  The living room has a 3-piece suite (for 4), occasional tables, and a 32" widescreen TV / DVD (Freeview).  French doors open out onto your private raised covered terrace stepping down to the shared gardens. Day-boats are available within a short walk, and the location is perfect for visiting the City of Norwich and the Norfolk coastline, with Cromer, Sheringham, and Great Yarmouth all within 15 miles.

Within a 5 minute pleasant walk via around the tour ferry marina you can be in the centre of Wroxham, looking back at your holiday cottage from the famous Wroxham Bridge, booking an afternoon or evening tour on one of the main river cruisers, or taking a dayboat out for an hour, or day, or even book for the whole week. Picnic boats are perfect to keep on your mooring during your stay. You can stroll around the many boatyards, boating and angling shops, dine out at one of the many waterside pubs, restaurants and cafes. Wroxham boasts the largest village supermarket in the world, and there is a bustling village shopping centre where everything is named Roys!

Or just sit back on your private terrace and watch the world go by as people are just messing about on the river! There's no need to go anywhere to be somewhere here.
